Winter Bucket List – 52 Lists

It is almost officially winter, although you can’t tell by the cold front passing through. I am enjoying the cold and looking forward to the days not spiking to 70+ degrees for a while. So it only seems fitting that we make our Winter Bucket List to get ready for the season!

WINTER BUCKET LIST:

Winter Bucket List

Celebrate Christmas with Family: My favorite part of winter is enjoying this special day of giving with my family. We hole up in our house, make a sweet treat for breakfast while the little dude goes to town on his presents. (Confession: I’m hoping he really goes for it this year, he’s not been super interested in ripping open wrapping paper for presents yet.) We usually celebrate Christmas in pieces with Christmas Day at home and another day to celebrate with Mr. H’s parents and sister. (My mom usually comes and stays over Christmas.)

Ring in the New Year Quietly: I don’t like to make a fuss out of the new year starting. Most years lately, I’ve actually been asleep at midnight. Not very exciting, I know. But I do like to kick back and relax and just enjoy a quiet night at home with my family.

Drink Hot ChocolateWith marshmallows or whipped cream. I got a new whipped cream maker and I’m anxious to try it out… including flavoring it with some peppermint or cinnamon for a little extra fun!

Snowball Fight: Ok, this is some serious wishful thinking here. I’m desperately wishing for snow sometime this winter. I love taking C out in the snow to play. He looks so cute all bundled up. We get so little snow that he is just in awe of it all.

Read a Good Book (or twenty!): Winter is a great time to curl up under a blanket on the couch and read a good book. I have so many in my “to read” pile that I need to get to work.

New Project: I’m going to be fairly cooped up in the house for most of winter. So it seems only right that I start a new project. What project? I don’t know yet!

Find a Good Fitness Program: I have started and quit many fitness programs. It’s time to change that and winter is a great time to get started. After all, who isn’t ready to start working on the summer body?!

  1. A long time ago, I used to be good at visiting blogs…and then life complicated things 🙂 I’m finally making a few rounds to say thank you for linking up and wanted to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas!

    1. Thank you for stopping by. I hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas too! Life does complicate a lot of things, but I am grateful to have stumbled upon your lists. This has been a fun project to add in my blogging adventure!

  2. A great list! I definitely need to get back to exercising every day. I feel so much better when I do… but really in winter I just want to curl up under the blankets and not move at all.

    1. With all the cold, gray, balmy days, it really is too easy to curl up and bum it. I’m trying to fight it by getting my exercise habits on track for the winter.
