Meal Plan Friday: 5/27/2016

I have rediscovered my motivation for cooking. This Meal Plan Friday is great. I have even decided to do a little theme with Sunday and Monday to celebrate Memorial Day.

I will never understand why we use Memorial Day to have a grilling weekend, but I do love an excuse to grill. And the sales on grilling and BBQ meats is something I just can’t pass up!

My meal plan is focused around simple meals. Throw it in the crock pot, cook it in one pot simple meals. I’ve also kept it down to only one new meal this week as I am still behind from catching up on recipes from previous meal plans. And I have to admit now, that not all of those made the cut to getting made. I have one that I need and want to make and post about so it will come up soon enough, I promise. (Mama Sparrow, I’m talking about the Brussels Sprout casserole!)

It feels good to get the motivation back. It also feels good to be back in control of portions and what exactly is going into our bodies. Not all of it may be healthy, but it sure beats a quick trip to McDonald’s!

Meal Plan:

  • Sunday:
    • Breakfast = French Toast and Peaches
    • Lunch = Sandwich and Salad
    • Dinner = Hot Dogs and Zucchini Carrot Tots
  • Monday:
    • Breakfast = Egg, Yogurt, Grapes
    • Lunch = Macaroni and Cheese with Hot Dogs, Peas
    • Dinner = Pulled Pork Sandwiches, Mashed Potatoes, Roasted Brussels Sprouts
  • Tuesday:
    • Breakfast = Cereal
    • Lunch = Leftovers
    • Dinner = Chicken Nuggets and Steamed Vegetables
  • Wednesday:
    • Breakfast = Eggs and Sausage
    • Lunch = Sandwich and Salad
    • Dinner = Pot Roast
  • Thursday:
  • Friday:
    • Breakfast = Cereal
    • Lunch = Grilled Chicken Salads
    • Dinner = Black Bean Soup
  • Saturday:
