Baked Fish with Seafood Sauce

Baked Fish with Seafood Sauce

I don’t eat seafood as much as I should. Which is a shame because I really do love a good seafood dish. Honestly, I think the reason we don’t eat it as often as we should is the price of fish. (Like really… why am I paying so much for frozen fish!) But I really couldn’t resist trying this Baked Fish with Seafood Sauce recipe to hit my craving for some good seafood, plus it gives a little of everything I like.

Fish fillet, scallops, and shrimp. Yum! There is also very little work involved with this dish (a big win in my book!!!) If you are a seafood lover, you will enjoy this dish. I can guarantee it.

I do have to make special note though, that what I initially expected from the words “Seafood Sauce” were not what came out of the dish. It’s more of a Seafood Topping than a Sauce. So please, if you decide to make this, do not… I repeat, do NOT expect a traditional sauce with this dish.

I chose to use flounder as my fish base for this dish. The original recipe also calls for crab in the Seafood Topping. I do not like crab and omitted it from the dish. I didn’t notice it missing. Mr. H also had no idea it was missing (and no, I didn’t tell him it was supposed to have crab.) So I would have to assume that you can leave out parts that you don’t care for and still enjoy this dish.

It’s very basic and it comes packed with great seafood flavor. If you are not a fan of seafood, stay away from this dish. But if you love seafood, you must give this a try. It will hit all your seafood cravings and leave you one happy eater.
